How to Download Bihar Caste Certificate PDF (Direct Official Download)
Once your caste certificate is approved on serviceonline.bihar.gov.in, you do NOT need to wait for a physical copy to be mailed, nor do you need to visit the Anchal / Block office. Bihar issues an officially valid Digitally Signed QR-Coded Electronic Certificate that carries full legal validity across India.
Method 1: Direct Instant Download (No Login Required)
The Bihar RTPS portal features a dedicated public download utility that allows citizens to fetch their approved PDF in less than 30 seconds:
- Visit the official portal: serviceonline.bihar.gov.in
- On the right side menu under “नागरिक अनुभाग” (Citizen Section), click on “सर्टिफिकेट डाउनलोड करें” (Download Certificate).
- Select Service: Choose RTPS.
- Enter your Application Ref No (e.g.
BCCCO/2026/XXXXXorBCCRO/2026/XXXXX). Note: Enter your BCCCO/BCCRO caste certificate reference number, not BRCCO which is for residence. - Enter your Applicant Name (in English) exactly as spelled in your application form.
- Click the blue “Download Certificate” button. Your digitally signed PDF will download immediately.
Not yet approved? You can check your real-time processing status here.
Method 2: Syncing with DigiLocker Mobile App
The Government of Bihar has integrated RTPS with DigiLocker. Under Rule 9A of the Information Technology Rules, documents fetched via DigiLocker are legally equivalent to physical original documents for all competitive examinations (BPSC, UPSC, SSC, Railways):
1. Open DigiLocker App
Sign in with your Aadhaar number and OTP.
2. Search Bihar GAD
Search “General Administration Department Bihar” and click “Caste Certificate”.
3. Enter Reference Number
Enter your BCCCO/BCCRO number. The certificate will save to your Issued Documents.
No Physical Stamp or Seal Required
The Bihar electronic caste certificate contains a cryptographic 2D QR Code and the digital signature (DSC) of the Revenue Officer. You do NOT need to visit the Circle Office or get it physically stamped by an officer. Any university or recruiting body can scan the QR code to instantly verify authenticity on government servers.
